Global Social Business Partners believe youth to be innovators of the future. GSBP serves as a food innovator and entrepreneurship incubator. GSBP is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Founded in 2010 as a 501(c)3, based in Washington State, USA.

Board:
NARIMA AMIN, President
Narima Amin is the Founding Director of Global Social Business Partners (GSBP). With over 20 years of experience as a researcher and social business innovator, she has dedicated her career to developing best practices and scalable, sustainable solutions to combat world hunger and injustice. Narima holds a B.A. in Economics and International Development Studies from the University of Toronto and has completed various leadership and social transformation programs. She is also a passionate community mental health advocate, actively serving on NAMI Eastside's public policy committee and facilitating Bellevue's monthly NAMI Family Support group.

Joao Vilca Soto, Secretary

Joao Vilca Soto is an Indigenous Agroforester and Environmental Activist. Graduated From Cascadia College with a Degree in Sustainable Practices. To further his understanding of the environmental issues faced by our generation and the possible solutions, Joao has also participated in field work in the Amazon Rainforest, Iceland, and throughout the Western United States.Joao is also the Founder of Ruta Verde Sustainability, a Nonprofit organization focused on developing research of Indigenous Agronomic practices like Agroforestry that take advantage of the natural properties of native crops throughout the PNW. Joao is also a Financial Consultant, and Co-Chair of the Environmental Sustainability Employee Resource Group at BECU, helping to bridge efforts between environmental organizations and financial institutions. Joao is also an experienced speaker, discussing themes such as regenerative nature-based solutions and Indigenous philosophies such as Ayni, the law of reciprocity that guided the Inca. 

Zainab Alli-Akinsanya, Treasurer 

Zainab Alli-Akinsanya is a dedicated Muslima, daughter, sister, wife, and mother of two young boys. She is a seasoned Real Estate Professional and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over a decade of experience in private accounting, financial analysis, and auditing, focusing on governmental and non-profit clients. Inspired by her parents’ strong work ethic and diverse travel experiences, Zainab transitioned from finance and accounting to the real estate industry, driven by her passion for asset acquisition. Over the years, she has owned, managed, and consulted on properties, providing brokerage services part-time. Her expertise in project management and wealth acquisition benefits family, friends, colleagues, and the community. Zainab’s audit background has honed her skills in detail orientation, collaboration, and resourcefulness, while her real estate career continues to teach her valuable lessons in integrity and value. She enjoys exploring new places and cuisines and engaging in intellectually stimulating conversations. She is committed to personal growth and contributing positively to her community.

Don Hawkins
Don Hawkins, a Harvard graduate student, is a passionate advocate for social change. With over seven years of experience in social entrepreneurship, he has served clients across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. His thoroughness, ingenuity, and great passion are evident in his collaborations with communities to promote intelligent, sustainable, and economically solid solidarity systems. This dedication fuels his desire to support social change as he works to nurture creative solutions and empower communities for a brighter tomorrow.
